Welcome to a new year! I would like to tell you about one of our goals at Hurst Chiropractic in 2018. For over 50 years we have strived to improve the lives of the people we serve through the service we provide and the knowledge we share. We are constantly looking to improve in our clinical skills and the ways we educate our patients. In 2018 we are hoping to take a step forward in how we educate you, our patients. In today’s technological age, there is no shortage of information—our hope is to help you sort through and find applicable information to help you improve your life. So we give you: “News You Can Use.” Our goal is to make this a weekly publication that you can use to make better, more informed decisions about your most important asset, your health.
So, with the introduction out of the way, let’s start with a brief topic for the start of the year… Goal Setting. From learning to ride a bike, to saving money, to completing a big task, to the classic “getting in better shape,” we all utilize goals. A common piece of the human condition is a desire to obtain things that we don’t have or regain something that has been lost. Another very common experience is procrastination—and not fulfilling these perceived desires or needs. A great way to overcome this is through goal setting. “Yeah, yeah I’ve done that, and it didn’t work” you say. Well perhaps the failure was in the goal setting technique that you used. Here is a great guideline to setting goals that you will actually achieve.

Hurst Chiropractic has such an awesome staff! They have always been so good to me! Dr. Chad has been so helpful with the adjustments and even explaining stretches to help.
